O brother, where art thou and why did you leave me

Im in a world I know in a country I know in a state I know in a city I know in a neighborhood I know in a house I know in a room I know in a bed I know listening to music I know.
Everything seems familiar, but I've never felt like this before.
I'll be graduated this time next week.

Last time I blogged it was from St. Augustine on Thanksgiving. What a short, but beautiful trip. I headed up to Georgia late afternoon that day and arrived in Newnan, Ga just in time for a bachelor party. A little unexpected, but the guys made it awesome and not awkward. A stranger and a friend visiting from Chicago made the old man walking up to me at the bar asking if I was on t.v. a funny experience. The rest of the weekend was a whirlwind of wedding mania, but it was so fun. I got a little break when I picked Joey up from the airport on Saturday. We had to make the long drive from the airport to the barn where Nathan and Rachael were getting married. It felt so good to be heading out into the boonies, we both took in all the sights. We drove over a part of the Chattahoochee River that made me wish I was roaming that land before there were roads. All of a sudden we were in Alabama. That wasnt suppoed to happen, but it turns out that the place we were going was only 5 miles from the Alabama/Georgia border. We had to stop at a convenience store to ask for directions and you could have convinced me that we had stepped back in time. We made it to the wedding grounds and I enjoyed the evening. Nathan and Rachael are quite the pair. The ride back to Florida took 10 hours instead of 6 thanks to traffic, but Joey was the perfect passenger and we made it back with a smile still on my face from Georgia's sweetness.

I turned 23 at midnight. I woke up, went to school, and then headed to Doug's. He forgot it was my birthday, but wanted to hang out anyhow. As soon as he remembered it was my birthday, he set out on making it the best birthday Ive ever had. Simple, but nice. We listened to NOFX, went on a walking adventure, drank some beer, found a puzzle in someones trash, went to Leu Gardens, put the lost and found puzzle together in Jennys backyard, walked, got Lou to pick us up, went to Sushi dinner, and met friends at Redlight. There were some real gems at Redlight and I got some latin fundip from Jess!
I also celebrated 2 nights later and I cant believe everyone who came! When I could stop feeling awkward, I was grateful.
A few days later I partook in Mel's birthday party at a Greek place that blew my mind. I'm still trying to figure it out. Such good times

I had my last class the other day and Ive already said bye to a few people I wont see again before I leave. Im studying for finals and getting sentimental. No need to talk about that now.

Love you, friends near and far
